Stating that Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa is the only leader who is still in the hearts of the general public, State Minister of Batik, Handloom and Local Apparel Products Dayasiri Jayasekara praised the Prime Minster for being the only experienced politician in the country.
He made this statement while addressing the media after the Government constituent parties meeting yesterday (03).
"I believe that the Prime Minster is still the only leader who is there in the hearts of the general public. The statement made by the Prime Minister at the anniversary celebrations is a good example. He said that the party that provides leadership must know how to keep the other parties close. That is a good example. We are happy by his statement as the leader of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP). I have not yet seen a politician as experienced as him," said Jayasekara.
Jayasekara went on to thank the Prime Minister for all efforts made as the leader of the SLPP.
