Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa has taken over the ministerial portfolio of late Minister of Livestock and Rural Community Development Arumugam Thondaman.
Thondaman (56) passed away last Tuesday (26) after he suffered a heart attack.
Rajapaksa was sworn-in as Social Empowerment and Estate Infrastructure Development Cabinet Minister.
He was sworn-in before President Gotabaya Rajapaksa at the Presidential Secretariat today (1).
