Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has requested all citizens to exercise their franchise in a peaceful manner at the presidential polls tomorrow(16).
In a special statement today, the Prime Minister said it was the public's responsibility to cooperate with relevant institutions and officials in order to ensure a free and fair election.
Wickremesinghe said steps have been taken to ensure maximum security during the presidential polls.
The Premier further urged the public to ensure peaceful conduct in the post election period.
