The police have arrested 3,011 personnel since October 30 for violating COVID-19 preventive rules and regulations, Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said today.
Fourteen persons have been arrested yesterday for failing to wear face masks and maintain social distancing.
The DIG said rapid antigen tests are being conducted on the persons at fish stalls, weekly fair, economic centres and on passengers and drivers of long distance buses.
