Footage has emerged on social media of police personnel arresting protestors, including a monk, at the Gotagogama site.
The video shows a monk being forcefully pushed into a police bus and other officers dragging a woman out of the street.
Earlier today, protesters at Gotagogama blocked all entrances to the Presidential Secretariat and talks with the IMF which were due to be held at the Finance Ministry were instead moved to the Prime Minister's office.
