The police have launched a special operation to conduct patrols around the vicinity of schools and examination centers as they have received word of illegal activities being planned by the students and other parties after the end of the GCE Ordinary Level examination today, stated the Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana today.
He stated that stern action would be taken against students and organizers of the parties and illegal gatherings that do not adhere to quarantine rules and regulations.
Therefore, after the end of the Ordinary Level examination today, police have been dispatched to conduct mobile patrols and motorcycle patrols to prevent any such gatherings.
The Spokesman also instructed the parents of the students students to remain vigilant in this regard.
Further, he also stated that if any other parties and tamashas are being conducted while not adhering to quarantine regulations, strict legal action will be taken against those who organised them.
