A wedding ceremony which was held at a luxury hotel in Kollupitiya in violation of quarantine curfew and COVID-19 restrictions was thwarted by the police today, Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said.
He said a special team led by the Kollupitiya OIC (Crime) had been appointed to investigate the matter.
“There were about 35 attendees at the wedding. We will take legal action against the organisers of the wedding as well as the hotel management,” he told The Morning.
