President Gotabaya Rajapaksa during his address to the nation today announced a relief package to the public and businesses affected by the coronavirus.
Accordingly, the President has set the maximum retail price of a kilo of dhal at Rs 65 and Rs 100 for a tin of canned fish.
The new prices will come into effect from midnight today (17).
As a relief to the businesses, the President has ordered banks and financial institutions to halt collection of business loan repayments for a period of 6 months.
