President Maithripala Sirisena is scheduled to meet with the heads of foreign missions at the Presidential Secretariat today.
Diplomatic sources confirmed to The Sunday Morning that the President has convened a meeting with diplomatic officials in the evening.
The meeting is expected to take place at around 5 p.m.
The President is expected to brief the mission heads about the current situation in the country and his reasons for appointing Mahinda Rajapaksa as Prime Minister.
