President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has reiterated his commitment to honour each and every pledge in his National Policy Framework, “Vistas of Prosperity and Splendour”.
The President has urged the public for a strong Parliament and the peoples’ support to accomplish them successfully, the President’s Media Division (PMD) stated.
President Rajapaksa has made these remarks during a public gathering at the premises of the Nikaweratiya Fair in Kurunegala during his election campaign tour last weekend in support of the candidates representing the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP).
Maha Sanga present at the gathering had commended the President’s administration and invoked blessings upon him.
The PMD further stated that preschool teachers had highly appreciated the President’s decision to bring the preschool system under the purview of a ministry and had stated that it would be a great step in early childhood development in Sri Lanka.
President Rajapaksa has also instructed the Army Commander to restore the dilapidated playground of Jayanthi Maha Vidyala, Nikaweretiya, following a request by the students.
