A significant voter turnout had been recorded in several districts as at 12 noon today for the 2019 Presidential Election.

District wise voter turnout figures are as follows:

Nuwara Eliya 50%

Matara 50%

Hambantota 55%

Gampaha 40%

Batticaloa 44%

Mannar 48%

Anuradhapura 40%

Polonnaruwa 60%

Puttalam 50%

Badulla 60%

Voting began at 7.00 a.m. island-wide.
