Political parties have agreed to a proposal put-forth by the Election Commission to extend the presidential election voting time period by one hour.
The proposal was agreed upon during a meeting held at the Election Commission today.
Accordingly, a gazette notification will be issued today extending the presidential poll voting hours from 7 a.m. to 5 a.m.
In the past the voting time for all polls in the country have been from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
