President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has appointed an 8-member committee chaired by Prof. Shantha Walpola of Moratuwa University to look into the recent LP gas explosions.
This was made known today (30) via the President’s Media Division.
The committee was appointed to probe the ongoing research and investigations on the LP gas cylinders by the Moratuwa University, and to recommend solutions accordingly.
Earlier today, President’s Spokesperson Kingsley Rathnayake stated that the President's decision was based on several suggestions made by people to initiate a special committee to look into the LP gas investigations.
