President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has instructed the officials to take steps to prevent the movement from the Western Province to other provinces, the President's Media Division (PMD) said today.
At the daily meeting of the COVID-19 Task Force held at the Presidential Secretariat this morning, President Rajapaksa has made these instructions after taking into consideration the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in the Western Province.
The task force members have discussed at length the current situation of the COVID-19 spread and control, as well as the aspects that needed to be studied to control future viral diseases and to ensure the health and safety of the people.
