President Gotabaya Rajapaksa urged citizens of the country to support the Government in its venture to execute the commitments that have been made by the Government, adding that all decisions that have been made is for the betterment of the future generations.
He made this statement while delivering the Government Policy statement in Parliament today (18).
"The country is only given to its leaders temporarily for decision making, whereas the country belongs to its citizens. Assist the Government in its venture to execute the decisions that have been made on behalf of the future generations, who will in return look back and be thankful," he said.
