A decision on whether the import of chemical fertiliser would be reversed or not would only be taken by the President if the need arises. This was said by Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) General Secretary Sagara Kariyawasam during a media brief held yesterday (18).
"The President and the Government will take a decision if there is a need to take a few steps back," said Kariyawasam.
He also clarified that the Government has taken steps to rectify the fertiliser issue in the country.
