The Department of Prisons has taken steps to set up a special Covid Information Unit to provide information to relatives of inmates infected with Covid-19.
Prisons Commissioner Chandana Ekanayake said that the unit would be able to obtain information on all inmates infected with Covid-19.
Commissioner of Prisons Chandana Ekanayake further stated, "The Covid Information Center has been set up at the prison headquarters. Relatives can get information only if the inmate is infected with Covid. Information can be obtained by calling 0114 677 101,"
