Protests blocking Galle road

HNDA students are currently engaging in a protest in front of the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo blocking Galle road. Heavy traffic has been reported around the area. The students are also reportedly protesting against the the new 'Agitation site' allocated adjacent to the Presidential Secretariat for protesters to carry out their demonstrations. The measure was taken by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa in a bid to ease traffic congestion in Colombo caused by protests. Pictures by Saman Abesiriwardana
