The Parliamentary Select Committee (PSC) probing the Easter Sunday attacks are expected to summon members of the Bodu Bala Sena (BBS) as well as former ministers in charge of the Police.
Member of the PSC, JVP MP Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa told The Sunday Morning that the BBS had indicated its willingness to appear before the Committee.
“We will be summoning the BBS, former ministers in charge of the Police as well as the Eastern Province DIG during the upcoming Committee sessions,” MP Jayatissa said.
Meanwhile, Deputy Speaker and Chairman of the PSC Ananda Kumarasiri said that MP Dayasiri Jayasekara was among those who would be appearing before the Committee during its next sittings.
“We have issued summons to MP Dayasiri Jayasekara once again as he failed to heed the Committee's summons initially. We are still finalising the list but there may be others we summon as well,” the Deputy Speaker said.
The next sittings of the PSC will be on Wednesday (10).
