Army Commander Shavendra Silva said today that no decision has been taken as of yet to impose quarantine curfew in order to restrict movements during the upcoming festive season.
He said there were opposing views and opinions on restricting movements as some urged to go for a lockdown while others urged not to restrict movements as it would hamper their livelihood.
“The COVID situation keeps changing. We have brought under control the situation within the Colombo Municipality. At this moment, there is no need for quarantine curfew or to go for an isolation during the festive season,” he said.
