Reliance to enter IPL TV rights race?

The regional sports broadcasting industry is abuzz now as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) gears up for the tender for the Indian Premier League (IPL) media rights by the end of this year.
Indo media reports on Tuesday (9) said one new entrant, Reliance Industries, is set to hot up IPL’s TV rights race.
They are set to venture into sports broadcasting, through Network18 Group and Reliance Jio, and compete with regional giants Disney Star, Sony Pictures Network, and Amazon India for the next cycle, beginning in 2022.
