The High Commission of India in Colombo today (30) denied recent reports which claimed that Sri Lankan authorities declined a request by India to use Sri Lankan airspace for a Joint Military Exercise with a third country.
According to the High Commission, such a request was not communicated to Sri Lankan authorities.
“No such request has been made by India to use Sri Lankan airspace in the recent past for the purpose of any joint exercise with a third country,” a Spokesperson from the High Commission clarified.
