Ricky Skerritt has been re-elected as Cricket West Indies (CWI) President after running unopposed. His second term will run until March 2023 after he was confirmed to remain in place during a virtual Annual General Meeting of CWI held on Sunday (11).

Skerritt will remain as CWI President after being re-elected for a second two-year term. The 64-year-old ran unopposed after rivals Anand Sanasie and Calvin Hope withdrew from the race.

Dr. Kishore Shallow will also remain as Vice President, a success he labelled as a “victory for West Indies cricket”.

Skerritt, who beat Dave Cameron to originally claim the post in 2019, said: “I am humbled and deeply honoured to be re-elected to serve as CWI President for a second term.

“I take the responsibility to lead the Board of this prestigious organisation, most seriously. We have much unfinished work to do, and we renew our pledge to work untiringly to help achieve sustainable improvement, both on and off the field, for West Indies cricket.”
