S. Thomas' replied with 296 all out to Royal's first-inningstotal of 158 all out, to have a valuable 1st innings' lead of 138 runs, on second day's play of the 140th 'Battle of the Blues' big match which continued at SSC, Colombo on Friday, 8 March.

With a day to spare, Royal ended the day Friday at 148 for four, still having a meager 10-run lead with only six second innings wickets intact. Today is the third and final day of the match.
