Co-Cabinet Spokesperson Minister Bandula Gunawardane today said that there is an outstanding payable amount of Rs.130 billion due to projects initiated by the Yahapalana Government.
Gunawardane claimed that the former Finance Minister Mangala Samaraweera had not taken approval for this payable amount.
He added that the amount was not included in the budget approved in parliament last year.
Gunawardane said the mentioned payable amount was until October of last year(2019) and that payables for November and December is yet to be calculated.
He said Finance Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa will make a special statement in Parliament next week and present a supplementary bill for the payment of Rs. 130 b in arrears.
