Democratic National Front (DNF) Presidential Candidate Sajith Premadasa today said yesterday's late night meeting with President Maithripala Sirisena was focused on the country's current situation.
Premadasa along with senior Ministers Mangala Samaraweera, Kabir Hashim and Akila Viraj Kariyawasam met with the President last night(1).
Reports said the talks were held to discuss forming an alliance between the UNF and the SLFP.
However Premadasa stressed that the meeting was not on the forthcoming elections.
The UNP last week invited the SLFP for talks on forming an alliance at the Presidential election. However the SLFP is yet to respond to the invitation for talks.
