Due to the price increase in rice observed during the months October to January, the Cabinet has agreed to grant permission to Lanka Sathosa to maintain 25,000 metric tonnes of rice as a secure stock for use from October 2020 to January 2021, stated Minister of Energy Udaya Gammanpila at a Cabinet media briefing today (29).
