All principals, teachers and non-academic staff of schools islandwide will be vaccinated against Covid-19 from 12 July, the Minister of Education Prof. G.L. Pieris stated today (07).
Earlier, he stated that steps will be taken to vaccinate all teachers before the commencement of academic activities in schools.
“We are developing a systematic program to vaccinate every teacher. There are about 242,000 teachers in this country and we hope to vaccinate them all before the start of term,” he reassured.
