School syllabi will be subjected to greater changes in accordance with the economic and employment requirements of the country, the Government stated.
"The syllabi are not in line with the requirements of the country," Minister of Education Professor G. L. Peiris said.
"Therefore, upgrading them will be a major concern in the educational reforms that the Government will introduce in the future," he added.
This was stated today at a press conference held at the Ministry of Education.
