The birthday of Sri Lankan politician Senthil Thondaman was celebrated in many villages in Tamil Nadu, Indian media reported.
Senthil's birthday was celebrated in more than 100 villages in 10 districts including Pudukottai, Sivagangai, Dindigul, Madurai, Thanjavur, Trichy, Salem, Namakkal, Theni and Perambalur in Tamil Nadu.
A group of members of the Jallikattu Sangam have also provided welfare assistance to the people on the occasion of his birthday. News reports said Senthil was a famous Jallikattu activist.
Ministers and political party leaders from Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Puthuvai had congratulated Senthil on his birthday.
Senthil Thondaman, who has brought Tamil culture to the world stage as a Jallikattu activist, already has a fan base in hundreds of villages in Tamil Nadu.
