As per request by the Attorney General, a seven-judge bench has been approved to consider the Fundamental Rights petition case against Inspector General of Police (IGP) Pujith Jayasundara and former Defense Secretary, Hemasiri Fernando.
The petition was filed by a father who had lost his two children to the attacks on Easter Sunday, accusing the IGP and the former Defense Secretary of failing in their duty to prevent the Easter Sunday attacks.
