Three persons have been arrested for possession of heroin during three special operations conducted in the Meetiyagoda Police Division.
Police Media Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana stated that 3 grams, 5 grams and 4 grams of heroin were found in their possession.
A suspect was also arrested with 1 kilogram of cannabis during an operation carried out in the Wellampitiya area yesterday.

A suspect was arrested in Mt. Lavinia yesterday with 900 grams of Kerala cannabis.
A 38-year-old suspect was arrested with 40 grams of heroin in a raid carried out by the Police Narcotics Bureau in the Morawewa area.
A suspect was arrested in the Moratumulla area with 30 grams of heroin.
The Police Narcotics Bureau and the Police Special Task Force are continuing operations on narcotics, said Police Media Spokesman, DIG Ajith Rohana.
