The Nestomalt Cycling Challenge 2021 was held on Sunday (7) at Viharamahadevi Park in Colombo with the participation of over 200 professional cyclists from around the country.

Organised by the Cycling Federation of Sri Lanka (CFSL) under the guidance of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the event was sponsored by Nestomalt.

“Since the outbreak of the pandemic, there have been little to no platforms for athletes to compete and develop. As a brand that has always supported physical activity, we were proud to join hands with the CFSL to power the ambitions of our talented cyclists and provide them an opportunity to excel in the sport they love,” said Ruwan Welikala, Nestlé’s Vice President - Dairy.

The event comprised of seven races, namely Men’s Standard Open (30 km), Junior Men (20 km), Elite Women (20 km), Under-23 Men (50 km), Elite Men (50 km), Over-40 Men (20 km), and Over-50 Men (20 km)

Results of Men’s Under-23 held in 40 km:

1. Shenal de Silva (Sri Lanka Ports Authority), 2. Supun Piumal (Sri Lanka Navy), and 3. Dinesh Chameera (Sri Lanka Police)
