Six persons, including two women, were arrested with 13 kilograms of ice in the Niwandama area in Ja-Ela.
The suspects were arrested during an operation carried out by the Police Narcotics Bureau yesterday (11), police spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said.
The suspects are currently being held at the Police Narcotics Bureau and are being questioned, the police spokesman said.
A police spokesman said that with the increase in raids on heroin, there is a strong tendency for smugglers to smuggle drugs such as ice into the country.
