Six more prison inmates have tested positive for COVID-19 today, stated the Department of Government Information.
Among them were two prison officials, one male inmate, two male suspects and one female inmate.
The total number of COVID-19 cases reported from the prison cluster is 4,649 as of today.
The highest number of patients have been reported from the Welikada prison, with 902, followed by the Magazine Prison with 877.
The total number of recoveries stands at 4399, with 132 prison officials.
