Further to the re-electing of Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) MP Ranjith Siyamabalapitiya as Deputy Speaker of the House after a vote in parliament, Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) Leader Sajith Premadasa said that this vote in parliament proves to the citizens of the country that the Government is playing political games within Parliament.
He made this statement while speaking in Parliament today (05).
"Today's vote is clearly evident that the government is playing political games. The citizens of the country are on the streets demanding the resignation of the government and all leadership roles to be stripped off the government MPs, whereas today majority of parliamentarians voted for a person within the government coalition. This proves that the government does not care about the voice of the Aragalaya," said Premadasa.
