The Samagi Tharuna Balawegaya has lodged a complaint against the Chairman of People’s Bank over an alleged professional misconduct, stated the Propoganda Secretary of the Samagi Tharuna Balawegaya Rasika Jayakody today.
He stated that the complaint was lodged over an alleged professional misconduct in violation of the Banking Act.
Minister Mayantha Dissanayake had stated in the complaint that the Chairman had applied for a Rs.23 million loan for his own company, BDO Partners, from the bank.
Rasika Jayakody stated in a tweet, “We lodged a complaint against People’s Bank Chair Sujeewa Rajapakshe over an alleged professional misconduct violating the Banking Act. MP Mayantha, in the complaint, said Rajapakshe had applied for a Rs.23 million loan for his own company, BDO Partners, from the bank.”
