SJB National List controversy: ACMC to remain regardless of issues

The All Ceylon Makkal Congress (ACMC) will remain in alliance with the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB), regardless of National List seat distribution. ACMC Secretary M. Suhaibdeen told The Morning that they had no intention of challenging the decisions taken by the SJB leadership. “We will not leave the alliance no matter how the National List seats are allocated amongst its members. We are not interested in any confrontation.” He said their Party Leader Rishard Bathiudeen had requested a seat in Parliament. “Our leader has requested (a seat) from the SJB Leader. We are still waiting for the list to be finalised and announced.”
