SL economic Summit 2019 to commence from 17-18 Sept

07 Aug 2019

The Sri Lanka Economic Summit (SLES) 2019 organized by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce will commence from the 17-18 September, at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel, the Chamber announced today. The theme of the summit will be ‘Recalibrating Sri Lanka’s Economic Trajectory Towards 2025 (RE-SET 2025). The theme has been chosen to reflect the need to re-calibrate the status-quo of the economy, and the overall journey towards the development of Sri Lanka. While domestic policies will take centre stage, global dynamics that will potentially unfold over the next decade will also be discussed. The role that transformative technologies will play, and Sri Lanka’s own progress in adopting these technologies where relevant will also be highlighted. This year’s summit will deliberate on key proposals and reforms that needs to be implemented in the period leading up to 2025 in order for Sri Lanka to realize its true economic potential. The Economic Summit last year focused on trade, investment, and services that thrust Sri Lanka’s economy forward, and had over 450 participants.
