Sri Lanka and Maldives have discussed enhancing security cooperation between the two countries to prevent drug trafficking and terrorist and extremist activities, the Prime Minister’s Office said.
This was discussed at a meeting held between Maldivian Minister of Defense, Mariya Ahmed Didi, and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday.
The Maldivian Defense Chiefs arrived in Sri Lanka to attend the Fourth Meeting of National Security Advisers on Trilateral Maritime Security Cooperation with India Sri Lanka and Maldives.
