SL suspends flights from Iran, South Korea and Italy

Sri Lanka has temporarily suspended flights from Iran, South Korea and Italy. According to Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority G.A. Chandrasiri the decision has been taken to prevent an outbreak of the coronavirus in the country. Chandrasiri told reporters today that flights from Iran and Italy have already been halted while the last scheduled flight from South Korea is expected over the coming days. The Government of Sri Lanka had imposed a 14-day quarantine procedure for those arriving from Iran, South Korea and Italy as the countries had recorded an influx in cases compared to other countries.
