The Minister of Education, Sports and Youth Affairs Dullas Alahapperuma approved the following 16-member national squad to take part in the upcoming T20I series in India.
Sri Lanka team will leave for India on 2 January to play a three-match T20I series.
Schedule:
01st T20I – Sunday, 5 January at Guwahati
2nd T20I – Tuesday, 7 January at Indore, and
3rd T20I – Friday, 10 January at Pune
The Squad:
Lasith Malinga (Captain), Danushka Gunathilaka, Avishka Fernando, Angelo Mathews, Dasun Shanaka, Kusal Perera, Niroshan Dickwella, Dhananjaya De Silva, Isuru Udana, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Oshada Fernando, Wanindu Hasaranga, Lahiru Kumara, Kusal Mendis, Lakshan Sandakan and Nuwan Pradeep (got injured while practising and will not go on tour. The National Selectors named Kasun Rajitha as the replacement for injured Pradeep)
