The Sri Lanka boys’ tennis team reached semi-finals on Tuesday, 31 December 2019 at the Qatar Asian Junior Team Cup Under-14 tennis competition, which is being held from 30 December to 3 January, Friday, on hard surface at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex at Al-Dafna, Doha, Qatar.
The event, sanctioned by the Asian Tennis Federation (ATF), is organised by the Qatar Tennis Federation.
RESULTS SO FAR
Sri Lanka beat Nepal 3-0 on Monday 30 December:
Note: Sri Lanka had lost to Nepal in the Boys’ U-12 age group recently
Sri Lanka beat Qatar 3-0 on Tuesday, 31 December:
Note: Both Zaidh Zihar and Hasal Ahangama managed to beat the very same two players whom they had lost to last month in straight sets at an ATF tournament.
Zihar won 7-5, 6-4 and he had lost 6-2, 6-3 last time. Ahangama won 6-3, 5-7, 6-3 whereas he had lost 6-3, 6-3 last time.
