The central committee (CC) of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) is to meet this evening under the patronage of party leader President Maithripala Sirisena.
SLFP patron, Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapakasa, who has been absent from CC meetings for close to three years, is expected to attend today's meeting along with other SLFP MPs who sat in the opposition benches of parliament prior to prorogation.
The CC is to discuss the current political issues and party reforms.
