SLFP General Secretary MP Dayasiri Jayasekara said five national list MP's who left the SLFP have been sent letters to show cause within seven days.
Accordingly letters have been sent to MPs Lakshman Yapa Abeywardena, Wijith wijayamuni zoysa, Dilan Perera, M. Fowzie, and S. B. Dissanayake.
On the 4th of August SLFP Central Committee decided to take disciplinary action on several party members who participated in the SLPP convention and who joined the SLPP subsequently.
