The Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) will be fielding a candidate for the upcoming presidential elections, Parliamentarian Weerakumara Dissanayake announced.
According to Dissanayake, the General Secretary of the party, MP Dayasiri Jayasekara has informed the Elections Commission on the decision.
The decision was made amidst negotiations between the Sri Lanka Freedom Party and Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna to form an alliance for the upcoming presidential elections.
