SLPP postpones main election rallies

The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) announced today that it has indefinitely postponed its main election rallies.

The decision has been taken by the founder of the SLPP and its National Organizer Basil Rajapaksa.

Accordingly, SLPP rallies to be held with the participation of Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and President Gotabaya Rajapaksa on 13, 14,  and 15 of this month have been postponed indefinitely.

The SLPP has also requested its candidates to limit their election gatherings and pocket meetings and to strictly comply with the health guidelines in the event such meetings take place.
