The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) won all wards of the Elpitiya Pradeshiya Saba election with a total 23,372 votes securing 17 seats, the Election Commission announced.
United National Party (UNP) obtained a total 10,113 votes securing 7 seats.
The United People's Freedom Alliance (UPFA) obtained a total 5273 votes securing 3 seats.
Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) obtained a total 2435 votes securing 2 seats.
Voting for the polls began at 7 am and ended at 4 pm today across 47 polling stations in 17 electoral wards in the area.
