Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardane said today that he received a copy of the final report of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry on the Easter Sunday attacks.
The Speaker said in Parliament today that the report will definitely be tabled and discussed in Parliament shortly.
“Currently, the problem is that we do not have enough drafts to distribute them among the Parliament, but I have received my copy and it is in the library. The Leader of the Opposition has accused me of not responding to questions on this matter, but now that I have received the report and it is in my possession, I can answer your questions,” he said.
It was revealed that as soon as the remaining copies were prepared, the report would be discussed in Parliament.
This was stated in response to a question by the Opposition that they were expecting the report would be discussed today.
