Permanent High Court at Bar will deliver the final verdict on August 8 in the case filed against former President's Chief of Staff, Gamini Senarath and two other for allegedly misappropriating 500 Million rupees in Litro Gas funds.
The case was heard today (09) before a trial-at-bar consisting of Judges Sampath Abeykoon, Sampath Wijeratne and Champa Janaki Rajaratne.
After the defence and the prosecution produced documents pertaining to their cases, the Judge bench then ordered that the final verdict of the case would be issued on August 8.
The Attorney General had filed the case against the defendants under the Public Property Act for allegedly misappropriating Rs 500 million funds belonging to Litro Gas Lanka by investing in ventures including the Helanko Hotels & Spa hotel project, from 1 February 2014 to 20 January 2015.Special Court to deliver verdict on Gamini Senarath case
